Set amidst the lush tropical gardens of the Resort, these are housed in double-storey units. The villas on the ground floor have a huge bathtub in a private courtyard while the bathrooms in the villas on the first floor open out to a view of the surrounding rainforest. Those travelling with children may opt for the Family Plan Villas - two ground floor villas adjoined from the inside, allowing for convenient access to each villa.

Meeting point: At Pangkor Laut Lumut Jetty Office not later than 7.30am. Yacht departs at 8am sharp. If you miss this yacht, you have to wait till 11am for the next one. If you are late and miss this ferry/yacht, then you liaise with the desk officer who will handle your luggage and put you on the right YTL ferry.

REGISTRATION OFFICE FOR YTL PANGKOR LAUT RESORT
Once you reach this office, just park your car outside it, go in and register at the desk. Take out your luggage, put it into the office, and park your car . Ask the desk where to park and they will advise you. Everyone waits in the office while waiting for your transfer to the yacht. You will be given a drink and a towel FOC. Register at this office; your names will be on their register. All rooms would have been already assigned. No changes to be made. Remember, this is where you actually check-in and your luggage will be transported direct to your rooms.

Jungle trekking
Explore three jungle treks through the rainforest accompanied by our experienced and informative resident naturalist, Mr. Yip Yoon Wah. The walks are free of charge and offer a fascinating insight into the spectacular virgin rainforest that is estimated to be over 2 million years old. Some of the interesting wildlife you may spot on the island include crab-eating macaque monkeys, tropical monitor lizards and yellow pied hornbills.

Uncle Lim's Kitchen
This interestingly designed restaurant is built atop a rocky outcrop overlooking the sea. Named after the chef who has been with the Resort since its inception, Uncle Lim's specialises in Nyonya and Hockchew Chinese-style home cooking. All dishes are inspired by the unique products available locally, and made to each guest's individual tastes and requirements. A unique experience for those who enjoy the exotic flavours of the East.
 

Royal Bay Beach Club
Royal Bay Beach Club, overlooking the infinity pool serves a selection of Asian and Western favourites for lunch. In the evening, the restaurant transforms into a chic chill-out lounge serving cocktails and other beverages.

 
 
Chapman's Bar
This bar is named after a famous British Colonel who sought refuge at Emerald Bay before his dramatic escape by submarine in 1945. Chapman's Bar sits on Emerald Bay, and serves excellent light lunches daily, including sandwiches, traditional satay, salads and tasty seafood dishes. A variety of beverages are served throughout the day, a short walk from your beach chair.

Directions by Road
For guests driving to Pangkor Laut from Kuala Lumpur, please note that the nearest town on the mainland is Lumut. Guests arriving by road park their cars at the port of Lumut and cross over to Pangkor Laut by ferry. Upon arrival in Lumut, the Resort’s office will be happy to assist you with your transfer to Pangkor Laut. The ferry crossing takes 45 minutes. The directions to get to Lumut are as follows:

• From the Damansara toll plaza, take the North South Expressway northbound towards Ipoh.
• Exit at the Bidor toll plaza. You will be charged approximately RM15.80 per car.
• The rest of the journey will be on trunk roads. You will pass through Bidor where you will see a Shell petrol station on your left should you need to refuel.
• Follow signboards pointing to “Pelabuhan Lumut” or “Lumut Naval Base”.
• Follow signboards to “Teluk Intan”, “Sitiawan” and “Pulau Pangkor”.
• The journey from Bidor town to Lumut is approximately 110 km, or 1 ½ hours. As you arrive at Lumut, the Resort’s office in Lumut will be on the left in a single storey building with a large signboard that reads “Pangkor Laut Resort”
• There is a car park next to the Resort’s Lumut office where you will be able to park your car overnight for a nominal fee of RM12 per day.
