Dear Members
 
We are pleased to inform you that the council members for 2009-2011 were elected at the 12th AGM on 18 April 2009. The new team is now headed by none other than Dr. Ho Choon Moy, who is the first lady President to lead Malaysian Menopause Society since its inception. Congratulations to the new team and may you continue to bring the society to greater heights!

 
The new team consists of:

MMS Secretariat
Roger Yue, Tan & Associates who had shouldered the responsibilities of the MMS secretariat for the 2007—2009 tenure, will continue to serve in the upcoming term of 2009-2011. Ms. Hee will also continue to work closely with the council to ensure the smooth delivery of secretariat services.
 
Membership 
As of 18 April 2009, the total number of life and annual members had been at 548, out of which 57 were annual members. Since then, 4 more annual members and 2 more life members have joined the society. Their names were submitted and approved at the 1st Executive meeting on 6 May 2009. They will be receiving their membership numbers from Ms. Hee shortly. In the coming term, the committee will be actively recruiting members to increase membership.
 
Members’ participation
The importance of member participation in the ongoing MMS activities was also highlighted at the 12th AGM. During the annual general meeting, some members had offered their services to help out in MMS activities. I now request these members to contact Ms. Hee and provide your names, email addresses as well as mobile numbers so that a list of volunteers can be compiled into a database pool. We will be in touch with you to request for assistance when organizing MMS activities such as the World Menopause Day, Fellowship Nite and public forums.
