Dear Members,

Gosh, but it’s December. Where did the rest of the year go? Time has flown so fast and looking back, from the MMS standpoint we have done so much!!!

This is our fourth issue for the year. We have tried to keep all the issues lighthearted and informative, keeping precedence to MMS related activities. In this issue itself, you will be able to capture the essence of two major recent MMS events i.e. the World Menopause Day which was a resounding success (thanks to Dr. Liew Fah Onn) and the recently held Fellowship Nite, a nite to let your hair down and boogey. Well done Mrs. Jagjeet. Unfortunately due to work commitments I was only there for a short while, but wow!! It was quite an eventful evening - enjoy the photo lay out. I only have photographs for the first half of the night, the rest to be enjoyed in the next issue. Reports by both the CEO’s of the events are also enclosed for your reading pleasure.

Articles on aging are frequently published in our national papers now. The use of hormone replacement therapy is slowly resurfacing and thus our appropriately titled theme for the 6th Malaysian Congress on Menopause “The Return of Hormone Therapy”. The announcement is in this issue - please mark your dates. We have events for everyone.

Potbellied members or members who have husbands or friends as such, catch the article on potbellies in our male aging corner. It might just do the trick to take the spare tire away. Those interested in skin aging, there is an appropriately sectioned corner for you too. Again those of you who need to update their membership information, please help us out by filling in the enclosed page.

As the year comes to an end and a new one begins, we are always full of resolutions and good wishes. My resolution for the MMS – to get stronger, to get better, to constantly keep in touch with new menopause information that would help us all!!!

I apologise that this issue would probably only reach you in January 2007. This is because I wanted to include the fantastic fellowship nite we had on December 1st 2006.
